Research Experience
David BASSIR is as Professor at the French University of Technology and Senior Researcher at the CNRS -UMR 8536 – ENS Cachan (France). He’s also a foreign expert for advances material and structures at the Chinese Academy of Sciences-GZIIT-CAS. Previously, he was the Dean of the University of technology (IUT) at the University of Lorraine (France), Consult for Science and Technology at the French Embassy to serve at the Consulate General of France in Guangzhou (China), General Director of Research at the Ecole Speciale des Travaux Publics, du Batiment et de l'Industrie (Paris) and Space Craft engineer at GECI Technology in different Space Agencies such as Arianespace (France) and Astrium Group. He joined the Mechanical Department of the UTBM as Associate professor in 2001 and the Chair of Aerospace Structures at Technical University of Delft as visiting professor in 2008. He holds a Master and a PhD degree in structural optimization from the University of Franche-Comte (France), with the most honorable mention. He has published more than 150 papers in journals, books and conference proceedings. He is the founder of the ASMDO association and the Int. journal IJSMDO that is published by EDP Sciences. He serves as member of various expert committees in many international organizations and highly estimated scientific societies. Professor BASSIR is also President of the Sino-French Association for Sciences and Technology (AFCS&T) acting as a bridge that promote and link innovative companies and research centers between France and China.

Chundi Si is currently a professor, doctoral supervisor, and associate dean in the School of Traffic and Transportation, Shijiazhuang Tiedao University. She obtained her Ph.D. degree from Tianjin University in 2007, and she performed collaborative research as a visiting scholar at the Transportation Institute of Michigan Technological University. At present, her academic titles include “Outstanding Young Scholars” and “Three-Three Talents” in Hebei Province. She is also the secretary-general of the Manufacturing and Engineering Science Professional Committee and the Hebei Youth Science and Technology Workers Association member. Her research interests include Pavement Engineering, Nonlinear System Dynamics, Transport Planning and Management, etc. As project leader, she has presided over 2 National Science Foundation of China projects, 2 National Science Foundation of Hebei Province projects, 1 Excellent youth fund of Hebei Provincial Department of Education, 1 Key funded project for the returned overseas scholar in Hebei Province. She has published more than 40 journal papers, and about 20 journal papers are indexed by Science Citation Index and Engineering Index. As a leading member, she participated in many key projects, including the 973 Project, the key project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the key project of the Ministry of Education, etc.

Dr. Jun Fu is a professor in civil engineering materials and transportation infrastructure at Wuhan University of Technology, China. He was a postdoctoral researcher of State Key Laboratory of Silicate Materials for Architectures, China. As a visiting professor, he has been studied in University of Colorado Boulder and Purdue University, USA. Professor Fu has been engaged in civil and infrastructure research, especially in new material & new structure, multi scale assessment and prediction for engineering structure & materials. Professor Fu was funded by NSFC(PI), Ministry of Transport of China(PI), Ministry of Construction of China(PI). Also, he was Engaged in 863 Program of China (Transportation part) ,973 Program of China (Material part), with over 60 journal publications and 20 patents. Till now, he is peer reviewer of NSFC, Department and Province Level Experts Identification Committee of China, member of Chinese highway, member of Chinese mechanical.

He has presided over a large-scale traffic simulation project with a simulated road network area of more than 100 square kilometers. He has been invited to carry out signal optimization technology training and professional technical training for traffic police in many provinces and cities.
